New Hope Outreach

New Hope Outreach is an ex-trans and ex-gay ministry near Toronto. It was founded and run by Danny Blackwell. It's unclear what, if anything, New Hope actually did or does and may only be a pseudo organization. New Hope was on of three members of Transgender International Fellowship but was not an Exodus member.

Unlike Jerry Leach & Reality Resources, New Hope Outreach was more a missionary agency than a counseling one.  Here are "Outreach" and "Core Values of New Hope.

  • We want to reach out to the alternate lifestyle communities of downtown Toronto.
  • We hope to mobilize believers to share the hope of Jesus
  • With compassion and grace to all we meet.
  • With God's help we will show His love to many hurting people.
Trans people, and gays to a less degree, were simply New Hope's target.

In June 2009, New Hope appeared to shut down. First, replaced Danny as their leader with someone named Daniel Burton. Danny's blog was immediately removed. A week later, New Hope's website was removed and blocked from search engines. Prominent articles from the site are available at the New Hope Outreach archive.
